National Voter Registration Day: Make Your Voice Heard

National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday held every year on September 19th. The goal of National Voter Registration Day is to encourage eligible Americans to register to vote and to make sure that their voter registration is up to date.

According to U.S. Census data from 2020, as many as 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote. This means that millions of people are missing out on their right to have a say in their government.

There are many reasons why people might not be registered to vote. Some people may not know how to register, while others may not think that their vote matters. Still others may face barriers to registration, such as lack of transportation or difficulty accessing the internet.
